Three months after stealing a Bible from a Las Vegas hotel room, my dad, an Orthodox Jew, became a believer in his Messiah, Jesus Christ. I was nine years old at the time and my brother was fourteen.

My dad faithfully shared the Gospel with us. We rebelled against him and his message for ten years. In the summer of 1960, when I was nineteen, my dad led me to Christ. My brother, Don, came to the Lord three months later.

Both of us sensed a call of God upon our lives, but He took us down very different paths. God led me to become one of the founders of DaySpring Cards; He led Don to Mexico, where he served the Lord for over 40 years, until his death in 2006.

Don has influenced the ministry of DaySpring Cards in profound ways. Many of the messages and themes that appear on our products came from visits I had with him through the years.

The book Abba Cry is taken from two messages that Don preached during his visits to the States. I was present the day Abba Cry was first spoken. It was a moment I, as well as others who were impacted by it, will always remember.
